SWESA has grown rapidly as a grassroots organization. In November 2011, five people came together to form a committee to respond to the need for seniors programs in southwest Edmonton. Now SWESA is a registered charity with a volunteer board of directors, many volunteers and two employees dedicated to providing opportunities for seniors to gather to pursue their interests, socialize and discover new activities.
